BCCL was founded on October 5, 2002 with the tireless and tireless efforts of the late Atish Chandra Sinha, the dean of the Kandi Raj family. The college is affiliated with Kalyani University and approved by the Bar Council of India. Shri Atish Chandra Sinha fulfilled this Herculean task of founding a law school with the simple desire to provide legal education and create social engineers, as he himself could not continue his legal training for certain reasons. Therefore, he wanted to achieve it by founding a law school, which in turn would produce many legal minds. It was also on the agenda, as there was no law school in Murshidabad district. Then the college was named after and in memory of his father, the late Bimal Chandra Sinha. Currently, the college is run under the friendly patronage of his son, Prof./Dr. Aninda Sinha, who is a professor at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore. In the initial phase, the college was commissioned at Raja Birendra Chandra College, but later in 2006 it was moved to its current location.

Previously, the course offered WAS LL.B. 5 years, but later from 2006 it successfully introduced the integrated B.A.LL.B.(H) 5 year course as a guideline and direction of the Bar Council of India. The college has nurtured many great legal minds and has carved out a niche for itself in the legal field and will continue to do so. NOTE: Please note that OFFLINE admission and physical examination of documents are only open to the selected candidate until SEPTEMBER 21, 2022.
